Going live 7/15!!!
Per overwhelming endorsement from the exec committee and membership, we've set Tuesday July 15 to open the new website to the public. Cut-over will be approx. 10 PM that evening. The old website will be available for a week or two at http://eximiousflyingclub.com/1 Just In Case, then archived and removed after we're sure the new site is solid. If you have any comments or errata, the time to report them is now.
P.S.: The site is way slow as I write this. Don't know whether it's the host or my connection. If you're viewing this on or after Tue. (7/8) and pages are taking more than a few seconds to load, let me know.

Several corrections and additions to the aircraft and join-us pages, per suggestions by Howard R., Pat G., and Reggie B. ("the Eximious Flying Club's Asian Wing representative.")
Have a couple of plug-in module updates available, but they're all minor and no security issues involved, so no hurry.
Question to the membership: Does anyone have photos of Club aircraft in flight? Reggie made a good point about adding some dynamic images, but afaik none exist. A shot of 67F and 90B flying in formation would be fantastic; anyone know what effort / $$$ are involved?
Wright Patterson AFB Musem Pics are awesome
Rich,
Thanks for sharing the great pictures from your recent trip to Ohio. It looks like the weather was perfect. As the charter member of the South Korean Wing of the Eximious Flying Club, I appreciated a look at flying in the US. Your pics brought back great memories. I felt like I was in the cockpit of 90B.
All the best,
Reggie

Club Meeting
Change of venue this time! We'll be at Como's Restaurant, 9 Mile and Woodward. Use the link on the home page announcement to get a map. See you there!
Welcome Members!
You're looking at the "release candidate" of what will hopefully soon become the new Club website. Most of the content is public, so feel free to look around even if you haven't received your login yet. This post is a good place to start; click the "Read more" link at right to read the entire message.

I'm down to three squawks; the only one surviving from the last update is, unfortunately, that notoriously lame event calendar. It looks like I'm going to have to modify that script to Get It Right. The others are nitpicks and don't affect site usability, so with the exception of the calendar, and pending member feedback, I'm calling the site ready to go. I'll be setting up member accounts tonight.
So far, the site has been tested with the following browsers:
Internet Explorer 6.x - OK
Internet Explorer 7.x - OK

Well, I've got my bug list of 34 items whittled down to five, only one of which is non-trivial. I'd like to bust the remaining ones before the site goes live, but there's no reason not to promote it to "release candidate" status and open it up to the membership at large. Barring veto from the exec committee (and I'll have e-mail out to you guys to supplement this), I'll do that over the weekend.
So here's where things are:

As of today the basics are in good shape. I'd put it as in "late beta" state, about 90% of the way to go-live. The content looks good, and all the links work.
