About EFC
ximious Flying Club, a Michigan non-profit corporation, was formed on February 18, 1958 as an aviation and social organization.
Throughout our half-century of operation, our mission has been:
- To encourage interest in general aviation
- To develop fellowship among our members and with the community
- To enable our members to train and fly at reasonable cost.
Today, we own and fly two well-equipped mid-1980s Piper Archers. N9090B is based at Oakland-Troy Airport (VLL), and N8167F is based at Coleman A. Young Municipal Airport (DET).
As befits a 21st-century organization, we have a substantial and growing Internet presence, enabling our members to schedule and plan flights, share knowledge, and network with the Internet and the world.
We hold general membership meetings on the first Monday of each month. All members and prospective members are welcome to attend. We also hold informal social gatherings throughout the year.
